FECAL MATTERは、検閲のないアイデアを表現するために作られた複合的なブランド。FECAL MATTERの世界は、制限された美の基準に代わるものを提示し、批判的思考を助長させるために、ファッション、映画、政治、パフォーマンス、音楽、その他禁じられたものすべてを結びつける体験とプロダクトを提示する。

ブランドの創設者であるSteven RajとHannah Roseの二人は、カナダのモントリオールで出会い、変化と表現の自由への情熱によって意気投合した。2016年1月に設立されたこのブランド名に込められた意図は、消費のサイクルや、この物質中心主義の世界がいかに価値のないものであるかという彼らの解釈からきている。彼らはソーシャルメディアをプラットフォームとし、美しさと現実における独自のビジョンを視覚的に共有している。写真、ヘアメイク、服飾デザイン、アート、モデル、そして音楽など、あらゆる要素を創作する二人の、360度死角のない仕事ぶりは、高く評価されている。

彼らの作品は、ヴィクトリア＆アルバート美術館（ロンドン）、モントリオール美術館（モントリオール）、ヴィクトリア国立美術館（メルボルン）など、各地の美術館で展示されてきた。また、Rick OwensとConverseのコラボキャンペーンにはクリエイティブ・ディレクターとして起用され、写真撮影とモデルも務めた。彼らは、人間の脚に突然変異が起きたようなニーハイブーツ、スキン・シューズのクリエイションで最も知られている。この先駆的な作品は、アートとファッションの領域において、世界的な肉体改造現象を巻き起こした。

彼らの作品の枠を超え、HannahとSteveが掲げる”Provoke Society（社会を挑発する）”というマニフェストは、彼らが日常的にそうしているように、本当の真実を生き、制限なく自分自身を表現するよう、今を生きる世代をインスパイアしている。

FECAL MATTER is a multi-disciplinary brand created in order to express uncensored ideas. The FECAL MATTER world presents an alternative to restrictive beauty standards and offers experiences and products that connect fashion, film, politics, performance, music and everything that is forbidden in order to promote critical thinking.

The duo behind the brand, Steven Raj and Hannah Rose, connected over their passion for change and freedom of expression when they met in Montreal, Canada. Established in January 2016, the intention behind the brand name comes from their interpretation of the cycle of consumption and how valueless the material world can be. They use social media as a platform to visually share their unique vision of beauty and reality. The duo has been praised for their 360 degree work process as they create all aspects of their work including photography, hair, makeup, clothing design, art, modelling and music.

Their work has been showcased in multiple museums such as the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Museum of Fine Arts (Montreal) and the National gallery of Victoria (Melbourne). They have also worked with Rick Owens as creative directors for the Converse collaboration campaign doing the photography and modelling as well. They are most known for their skin shoes creation, a thigh high boot that resembles the human leg with mutations. This pioneering work has launched a worldwide phenomenon of body transformation within the art and fashion spaces.

Beyond their work, Hannah and Steven’s manifesto “Provoke Society” has inspired a generation to live their authentic truth and express themselves without limits, just like they do everyday.

2018年 日本テクノサウンドのイノベイターDJ SHUFFLEMASTER主宰の”四季協会”から初のEP「Sneakpeek」をリリースし、2022年 映画監督の石原海をフィーチャーした2nd EP「Angels from Hell」を発表。石原海監督によるMVも同時公開された。またドイツの”Ohrfeigen”などからも楽曲をリリースしており、MAYUDEPTHの作品はBen SimsやEllen Allienなど国内外のトップアーティスト達にプレイされている。DJに於いてもBOILER ROOMを始め世界各国のラジオやプラットフォームからMIX音源が公開されており、2022年にはapple musicよりオフィシャル・ミックスをリリースした。テクノを軸にインダストリアル、エレクトロ、ブレイクビーツ、ハウスなど多様なジャンルのグルーヴを捉えタフでディープな世界観を表現するスタイルで、オルタナティヴなアンダーグラウンドシーンからRDCといった日本の主要フェスティバルまで活動は多岐に渡る。またファッションショーやエキシビションの音楽監修も数多く手がけている。
日本のクィア・パーティシーンにとって大きなうねりとなった”MOTORPOOL”では主宰のDSKEと共にレジデントとキュレーションを務めており、常に挑戦的かつオープンな姿勢でエレクトロニック・ダンスミュージックを探求し続けている。

She released the EP ‘Sneakpeek’ in 2018 on the ‘Shiki-Kyokai’ label, run by Japanese techno sound innovator DJ SHUFFLEMASTER. She has also released some tracks on German ‘Ohrfeigen’ label. In 2022, a second EP, Angels from Hell, featuring film director Umi Ishihara, was released, with a music video directed by Umi Ishihara released at the same time. and MAYUDEPTH’s works have been supported by top domestic and international artists.
As for the DJ’ing, her style based on techno, mixing various genres such as industrial, electro, breakbeats, and house music, expressing a tough and deep world view with grooves, their activities range from the alternative underground scene to major Japanese festivals such as Rainbow Disco Club. Her energetic and smooth mixing style has won her a global following radio shows and platforms around the world, including BOILER ROOM, and in 2022 released an official mix on Apple Music. She is a resident and curator of “MOTORPOOL” which a big undulation for Japanese queer party scene with DJ DSKE, She always continues to explore electronic dance music with a challenging and open attitude.

Mars89は、妥協のないエレクトロニック・ミュージックで、東京のアンダーグラウンド・クラブシーンで最もユニークでエキサイティングな存在として知られている。

2008年に10代後半で東京に移住して以来、世界で最も人口の多い都市のひとつで生活することの難しさについて、あらゆる形で表現する人物として地位を確立してきた。

これまでの彼のディスコグラフィーは、様々なスタイルが混在している。UKダブステップ全盛期のサブベースや、ブリストルの特徴的なベースミュージックシーンの突然変異したリズムなどの音楽的な影響に加え、Stanley KubrickやDavid Lynchなどの映画監督、特に不気味で忌まわしいものに対する彼らの比類ない才能からも大きな影響を受けている。
クラブの群衆の潜在的なエネルギーに即座に火をつけるトラックや、ディストピアやバイオテクノロジーの崩壊を連想させる不穏な風景にリスナーを連れて行くアンビエントトラックが彼の武器であり、この2つをシームレスに織り成す能力こそが、自分の感性を使って世界全体をデザインするアーティストとしての彼の特徴である。このことは、Bokeh Versionsとの境界を超えたVRの探求や、Patrick Savileとのコラボレーションにも反映されている。

音楽以外では、UNDERCOVERの高橋盾とのコラボレーションプロジェクトでミリタリーウェアを解体し、真のパンク精神で反戦を訴えるコレクションを発表したほか、同ブランドからレコードもリリース。後者は、UNDERCOVERのAW19コレクションのために制作したショーのサウンドトラックをベースにしたもので、Virgil Ablohが主催するクラブナイト「Sound Design」で高橋がキュレーションした際に共演したThom Yorke、Zomby、Low Jackのリミックスが収録されてる。この3人のアーティストがリミックスの依頼にすぐに応じたことは、Mars89が世界の同世代のアーティストからいかに高く評価されているかを示している。

Mars89は、東京のアクティヴィストコミュニティの重要な存在でもあり、Protest Raveでは、サウンドシステムを積んだトラックでハードテクノを鳴らしながら東京の象徴的な景色の中を走り抜け、若者に政治的活動への参加を促している。

Mars89 is a musician whose uncompromising electronic compositions have cemented him as one of the most unique and exciting prospects within Tokyo’s underground club circuit, but his contribution to the city’s culture extends far beyond the dancefloor.

Since moving to Tokyo in his late teens in 2008, Mars89 has established himself as someone whose creative output — in all its shapes and forms — provides a vital perspective on the vicissitudes of living in one of the most populous urban metropolises in the world.

His discography to-date is a bricolage of styles, channeling the guttural, sub-bass-infused body music from UK dubstep’s heyday and the mutant rhythms of Bristol’s signature bass music scene — some of Mars89’s foundational musical influences — as well as the auteurs of cinema, from Kubrick to Lynch, and, specifically, their unparalleled flair for all things eerie, abject and uncanny. In his arsenal, he possesses tracks that can immediately ignite the latent energy of a heaving club crowd, as well as ambient compositions that transport listeners into unsettling alien landscapes evocative of sci-fi dystopias and biotechnological collapse. It’s his ability to weave seamlessly between the two that sets him apart as an artist who ultimately uses his sensibilities to design entire worlds, and this is also reflected in his boundary-pushing VR explorations with label Bokeh Versions and collaborations with designers like Patrick Savile.

Outside of music, Mars89 has collaborated with fashion brand Undercover’s Jun Takahashi, on a collection that deconstructed military garments, making them into a powerful anti-war statement in true punk spirit, as well as releasing a record through the brand. The latter referenced the show soundtrack he had created for Undercover’s AW19 collection, and featured remixes by Thom Yorke, Zomby and Low Jack, who he had played alongside at the Takahashi-curated instalment of Virgil Abloh’s club night, Sound Design. All three of the artists signed up for remix duty immediately upon request, demonstrating how highly regarded Mars89 is by his global contemporaries.

Mars89 is also a key figure within Tokyo’s activist community, spearheading an anti-establishment ‘Protest Rave’ that has seen sound trucks drive through some of the city’s most iconic vistas while blasting out hard techno, galvanising Tokyo’s youth into new, emergent strands of political engagement.

東京のディープなバーやクラブ、野外フェスティバル/パーティ、2018年はLAに１年間在住し、カリフォルニア、ブラジル、アムステルダム、ベルリンでもプレイ。2022年12月にはタイのWonderfruit Festival, 2023年の夏にはベルリンの世界最大のクィア・フェスティバル Whole Festival, ポーランドのGarvics Festivalに出演、ジョージアでもプレイするなど、世界に活動の幅を広げている。ゲットー酒場 “ヨイノクチ”、2020年に発足したクィア・レイブ ”SLICK” 主催。

A DJ from Tokyo. She plays unique psychedelic sets of experimental mixes of old and new music selected from her extensive archive, ranging from edgy experimental electronic music to percussive music from all around the world. She has played for the deepest bars and clubs to massive outdoor music festivals worldwide. She is a founding member of the SLICK collective (from 2020).

6年静岡県生まれ、情報科学芸術大学院大学在籍。DJ/VJ、アーティスト、映像作家、グラフィックデザイナーとして活動する。VR/AR、3DCG、映像、インスタレーション、DJ、サウンドパフォーマンスなど、マルチメディアを取り扱った表現に取り組む。
国内ではMONDO GROSSO / D.A.N.などのアーティストのMUSIC VIDEO制作や、(sic)boyのVJ/ライブ演出を勤めながら、AVYSSやFORESTLIMIT周辺での配信・VJとして活動する。
過去には、caro♡(PC MUISC)、Dirty K、Vincenzo Pizzi、Eastern Margins、Daisy Maybe、Visioni Paralleleなど、多くの海外のアーティストやレーベルのアートワーク制作・コラボレーションを行った。
2021年からTwo Shellの映像制作に携わり、2022年10月にはEUに渡航し、Unsound Festival/Two Shell主催ロンドンのパーティー「shell.tech」のVJとして帯同し、コラボレーションを果たした。

tamanaramen姉妹(Hikam・Hana)によるB2B DJユニット。2021年より活動を開始。アンビエントテクノを中心としたプレイスタイルが特徴。何にも捕われない独自の審美眼で、都内のクラブシーンからファッションブランドのパーティまで幅広く活動している。

クラブシーンをジャンルレスにクロスオーバーするDJをブッキングするアンダーグラウンドパーティ、Disco Mariaのオーガナイザーでもあり、テクノをルーツにラテンポップ、フレンチラップやジャングルなどのジャンルをタフ且つトランシーなスタイルでプレイする。
DJとしてはルーキーだが、パーティシーンではその姿を広く知られる。

ManahaとHitomiによるDJデュオとして2013年にスタート。ハウスを中心に、独自の感性でカルチャーにリンクしたプレイを得意とする。結成以降、都内を中心に様々なクラブやパーティーに出演を果たしてきた。2022年より自主企画イベント「TOGENKYO」を始動。これまでゲストにはSoichi Terada、Tornado Wallece、Thomass Jacksonら多彩なゲストを迎えてきた。2023年よりHitomiがロンドンに移住し、東京とロンドンそれぞれの都市で活動している。

セレクトショップCANNABISバイヤーと店長の経験を経て
今年6月、元会社から独立し株式会社YELLOWBUSHを立ち上げ”新”CANNABISをスタート。
DJとしても活躍？活動？しMitsuki、ENTER、VENTなどで心地のいいミニマル感を軸にテクノ、アンビエン、トライバルまで幅広くプレイ。
KOPYと共に場所を決めず不定期で開催するテクノイベント”HALOGEN”など数々の企画をオーガナイズを始め、都内で開催されている音楽との関連性高いストリートブランドのパーティーなどにも携わり、DJとしてもディープなセンスと視座に富んだセレクトを繰り出すプレイで特異な存在感を放つ HIMAWARl。
インディー雑誌「PETRICHOR」のメンバーとして撮影やMVの制作などにも携わる。
