Creating a Space for Sonic Immersion in the Age of Information Overload — “lift”

Launched in 2020, lift is an audiovisual project dedicated to creating spaces for deep immersion in refined, minimal sound.

Each edition is built around a distinct concept, featuring artists who resonate with its vision. Past lineups include Takaaki Ito, Iori and DJ YAZI—figures shaping scenes across Japan.

In recent years, lift has developed a close connection with a kindred club for sonic exploration, vurt., supporting its 10th anniversary tour in 2024.

In 2025, the project was brought to vurt. in South Korea.
Driven by a desire to showcase Japan’s finest DJs to the world—rather than relying on Tokyo’s name recognition—the lineup was curated with a focus on deep sonic immersion.
The night was met with an overwhelming response, filling the space with intense energy throughout.

This time, lift arrives at Shibuya O-East, a venue with over 20 years of history.

The lineup features Lynne, Sakuma and Tatsuoki—artists with whom the project has shared a journey for over a decade. Bringing together peers active beyond Tokyo, the night offers a rare convergence of local roots and global perspective.
