グラミー賞ノミネート作家にして、プロデューサー、DJ、環境毒性学者、活動家、そして放送作家でもあるJayda Gは、2023年6月にNinja Juneよりフルアルバム『Guy』をリリースした。彼女が持つハウス、ディスコ、R&B、ソウルのルーツを生かしつつ、亡き父William Richard Guy（本作のタイトルもファミリーネームに因んでいる）のアーカイブ音源が楽曲に織り込まれ、アルバムの物語の基盤となっている。若きアフリカ系アメリカ人男性の視点から描かれる、アメリカでの体験のスナップショット的作品だ。
本作は、パンデミック最中にプロデューサーのFred again..と制作したシングル「Both Of Us」でグラミー賞ノミネートを果たしたほか、Taylor Swift & Dua Lipaへのリミックス提供、GlastonburyやCoachellaを含む世界最大級のフェスへの出演、人気ミックスシリーズ『DJ Kicks』のリリース、英BBCの番組『Glow Up』でのゲスト審査員、そして気候問題をテーマにしてKhruangbinやNosaj Thing、Mount Kimbie、Bon Iverらと共同制作した没入型インスタレーション『Undercurrent』への参加など、精力的な活動を展開してきた彼女の多忙な数年間の集大成となった。

彼女は近頃、人生を変える旅に出ている。2023年に公開された長編ドキュメンタリー『Blue Carbon』の撮影では、気候危機の最前線へと赴き、差し迫った大災害の影響を既に受けているコミュニティと対面した。本作は英国アカデミー賞とエミー賞受賞監督Nicolas Brownが手がけ、Jaydaがホスト会を務め、そしてWu-TangのRZAが音楽を担当した。

Jayda G, the Grammy-nominated writer, producer, DJ, environmental toxicologist, campaigner and broadcaster, returned with her new full length album ‘Guy’, in June on Ninja Tune. Drawing on her House, Disco, RnB & Soul roots, the tracks are interlaced with archival recordings of her late father, the eponymous William Richard Guy, that form the bedrock of the album’s narrative, capturing a small snapshot of the American experience told through the eyes of a young African American man.

The album arrives on the back of a busy few years that have seen her Grammy-nominated for her mid-pandemic single “Both Of Us”, created with producer Fred again..; release a trove of high-profile remixes for the likes of Taylor Swift & Dua Lipa; tour the world’s biggest festival stages including Glastonbury & Coachella; release a compilation for the renowned DJ Kicks series; appear as a guest judge on BBC’s ‘Glow Up’; and contribute to the immersive climate-focussed installation ‘Undercurrent’ alongside artists like Khruangbin, Nosaj Thing, Mount Kimbie and Bon Iver.

She has recently embarked on a life changing journey whilst undertaking filming for the forthcoming feature-length documentary ‘Blue Carbon’, which took her to the front lines of the climate crisis to meet with those communities already affected by the looming catastrophe. The film is from BAFTA and Emmy-winning director Nicolas Brown and is hosted by Jayda with original music by Wu-Tang’s RZA.

対外的にはメンバー4人のB2Bセットでのオファーも絶えず、CONTACTやVENTといった都内のクラブのアニバーサリー・パーティーに出演を重ねる他、東伊豆での本祭・スピンオフ企画も含め3年連続で『Rainbow Disco Club』に出演。2022年『FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL』ではRED MARQUEEの深夜のクロージングを務め、同年12月3日にはO-EASTにてオールナイトロング・B2Bセットを敢行。破竹の勢いでステージを登り続けている。

コロナ禍以前にはソウル、香港、タイ等での海外ギグでも話題を呼び、2022年にはタイにて開催された『Wonderfruit Festival』へ出演。2023年には香港『Shi Fu Miz Festival』に出演。

Soudcloudにて展開する不定期のPodcast『CYK TOKYO RADIO』を通して国内外のDJたちのサポートも行っている。

It was a natural thing that CYK came to be — when some of Tokyo’s house freaks came together to throw their own party.Not only a platform for showcasing international guests, CYK is also a collective of DJs, organizers, promoters.

CYK is the Tokyo-based house music collective consisting of Nari, Kotsu, Naoki Takebayashi, and DNG. They have invited cutting-edge artists from Japan and abroad such as Mall Grab, HAAi, Baba Stiltz, KENJI TAKIMI, Avalon Emerson, Jun Kamoda, Skin On Skin, and more. Other parties have been held in a variety of formats, including the “CYK All Night Long” series, in which four CYK members create a night with only B2B, and the “CYK & Friends” series, which focuses on hooking up with local DJs close to home and abroad.

The members are constantly offered B2B sets, and have played at Venues in Tokyo such as CONTACT and VENT, as well as at big festivals such as “Rainbow Disco Club”, “FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL” and “Wonderfruit Festival” .

Born and raised in Kamakura, Japan – currently based in London. Nina Yamada is a DJ and founder of Jazzy Sport London which is the first international branch of Jazzy Sport, an independent record label and store branching all over Japan since 2002.
Influenced by her father, Nina started to DJ and discover her own sounds through her father’s extensive vinyl collections. She specialises in deep house, but her playing crosses over between Afro-beat, Jazz, Latin, Reggae and many other genres.
Additionally, her ‘UK Trip Hop’ set on the popular YouTube DJ channel ‘My Analog Journal’ has garnered over 500K views and was selected as one of the top 10 mixes of 2023 by Mixmag.

West-Psy Tokyo出身、古き良きトランス黎明期に生を受けたレーベル/DJコレクティブ。

00年代初頭よりレーベルとしてMotor City Drum Ensembleをはじめとしたライセンス盤、So Inagawa率いるSpekなどのオリジナル盤を投下し、そこそこのセールスに終わるが、現在ではプレミアがついたりと、早すぎたリリースとして結果オーライとなった。またDJとしてターンテーブル6台を駆使したインスタレーションなどカルトかつポップなDJスタイルを研究、現在Boiler Roomなどで見られるパーティー・イン・ザ・ブース・スタイルのパイオニアとして鑑みることでこれもまたアリであった。

年を経て、その趣向はいまだ見ぬ未知なるディスコとハウスの発掘にフォーカスされ、それらを斜めに考察するべく深堀ブログ兼RE-EDITレーベルTEST TRAXを立ち上げ、可変型B6Bによってそれをアウトプットする様はやはり初心貫徹、フロアに混沌と狂喜を出現させるパンドラの箱である。

2019年に海外支部のあるバリ島、そして韓国ツアーを経て、レギュラーパーティー”TEST”を翠月- MITSUKI -にて主宰。

Timothy Really, a collective of six DJs and artists, started as a label distributing electronic music focusing on both dance floors and home listening in 2005.

They picked overseas producers like Motor City Drum Ensemble,Swag that hadn’t released yet in Japan, reissued their albums domestically and distributed them all over. Spek, a band led by So Inagawa released their first album from Timothy Really as well.

While Timothy Really builds a platform for unique talent around the world, they also form as a production team providing all sorts of art direction to various sites including directing music for fashion shows, compiling music for shops, gigs in Korea and Bali, Connecting Asian Disco connection, organizing events at clubs, and designing a special DJ booth with five turntables at French embassy.

Dazzle Drums is a Japanese DJ/Producer duo of Nagi and Kei, who have been DJing mainly in the Tokyo club scene since the 90s. Their selection blends a wide variety of songs of dance and house classics as well as current songs. Since 2005 they has released many overseas labels such as King Street Sounds, Afrocentric, Nulu Electronic, Tribe Records, BBE Music, etc, and played by a wide range of domestic and foreign DJs. They currently run their own labels, Green Parrot Recording/Yellow Parrot Recording.
Actively performed outside the country, starting with an appearance at the Gilles Peterson-led Worldwide Festival in 2016.
In recent years, they performed at the We Out Here Festival outside London in 2022, and toured Seoul and the UK/EU in 2023 and 2024. Regular parties are Prisma @ NUMM on the second Sunday evening of every month, Bridge Shinjuku with Toshio Matsuura, REDBAR, Block Party, and Music Of Many Colours.
